My Daily Dosages

One of the main questions I always get asked is “how much CBD should I take for my desired effect?!”. This is a great question and one that can’t be answered in terms of your weight on a scale, in my opinion. You will see charts out there that say if you weigh this much, do this many milligrams, and while that may be a good guideline, I’ve found that experimenting with low dosages and moving your way up is usually the correct way to find your “sweet spot”. The old saying that “everyone is different” really holds a lot of water here. At Cumberland Candies we decided to go with a higher dosage caramel in hopes of packing as much CBD into one box as we could so that people had the option to eat less of a caramel rather than having to eat multiple candies for their desired effect. If they do that, their box of candies would be gone in a day or two and that’s not what we want!

When I started using CBD, I tried the 20-25mg range to start out. I eventually settled right around 50-75mgs being my go-to dosage. I usually use the higher doses for sleep, and the lower doses for going out to hang with friends. If I have 25mgs of full-spectrum CBD and pair that with a nice glass of wine while I’m out at a social event, I am able to have the perfect night out with no social anxiety. Then I do another 25-50mgs when I get home, and I sleep like a baby. This is my go-to strategy when going out in crowds now. Being married to an extrovert has taught me that I need to be ready to hang with A LOT of people on a night out. It used to exhaust me to be in those situations as an introvert. Now that I’ve found my correct dosage of full spectrum CBD, it has given me that tool to not dread the nights out. I embrace them now because I found a way to relieve the stress, have fun, and enjoy the time with my hubby. Isn’t life all about having fun?!
